Instagram Data & Deletion Policy
We are Revcommerce Tech Platform Pvt Ltd, the company that runs the ReferRush service. This page explains how we handle the Instagram data we access on your behalf, and lets you permanently delete it at any time.
About this policy
This policy explains what Instagram data ReferRush accesses when you connect your Instagram account, how we use it, and how you can permanently delete it at any time. It applies to anyone who has connected an Instagram account to ReferRush, whether so a brand could review them as an affiliate or to use our auto-reply feature on their posts.
What Instagram data we store
When you connect your Instagram account through Instagram Login, we store a secure access token that lets us act on your behalf, and basic profile details: your account ID and user ID, username, name, account type, profile picture, and your followers, follows and media counts. Your individual posts are fetched live from Instagram only when needed to run a feature you have set up, and are not stored.
How we use your Instagram data
We use your Instagram data only to provide the features you have chosen to use. This includes letting a brand review you as an affiliate, and running auto-replies on your posts and comments when you have set them up. We do not sell your Instagram data, and we do not use it for any purpose other than providing these features to you.
How long we keep it
We keep your access token, the basic profile details listed above, and any auto-reply setups you have created for as long as your Instagram account remains connected to ReferRush. When you disconnect your account or request deletion, this data is removed.
What gets deleted
When you request deletion, we permanently remove your stored Instagram access token and basic profile details, disconnect your Instagram account from ReferRush, unlink it from every affiliate profile it was connected to, and delete any auto-reply setups tied to it.
How to request deletion
Enter your Instagram username below. We'll text a 6-digit verification code to the phone number on file for that account — enter it to confirm the request is really coming from you, and we'll delete your data immediately.
Other ways to delete your data
You can also remove ReferRush directly from your Instagram account settings under "Apps and Websites", or email us at rohan.verma@referrush.com and we'll handle the deletion for you.
